Pearsons' Perspectives
About Us
We have been married for over 45 years and raised two children who in due course have brought into our lives a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren – and we have survived! We have devoted much of our lives working for various Christian organisations either as employees or volunteers – and we have survived that too!
We were brought up in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and still regard this community of faith as home. But all homes have their flaws; all families have their dark moments. It is as true of our own family as it is of our church. So, we try to keep our minds open to the market place of ideas and our home open to fellow-travellers. We believe that the Bible teaches that strangers bring gifts, and not always the ones you expected or wanted.
We wish not merely to survive but to flourish. The fact that you found your way to this site probably means you do too. So we invite you to engage with some of the ideas contained here. Whether you embrace, modify, ignore or reject them, you will be part of a small network of people who share the wish to flourish as human beings following the pattern of Jesus.
