I worked until my official retirement in 2013 at Newbold College of Higher Education in Berkshire in the UK. I studied philosophy and ethics first at the University of London and then at the University of Oxford.

 

I had the pleasure of teaching generations of students to think for themselves. I also sought to encourage students constantly to be making connections between their lives in the community of faith and life in the market place.

 

I have been fortunate enough to travel widely seeking to do the same for believers and pastors, mainly in Europe but also sometimes beyond.

 

My contribution to this website is both a distillation and development – since I am still thinking! – of that life work. It is very much a work in progress.​
